Alcohol Research Study Results May Depend On Which Group Backs Them – Forbes

The lead author, Jakob Manthey, of Technische Universitรคt Dresden, Germany (TUD) told Lancet the study shows that alcohol will remain a leading disease risk factor in the foreseeable future.  The study took in alcohol consumption in 189 countries over almost two decades, beginning in 1990. The claim is that alcohol consumption had increased over that time by about 10%, from nearly 6 liters of pure alcohol from any beverage source per adult annually to 6.5 liters.
