Warner beach local, Stewie Spence (73) will participate in the INBA Naturals Body Building Show at the Durban High School on Saturday, 24 August. Natural body builder Stewie Spence (73) is living proof that the optimum treasure that one can have is a positive mind and a healthy body. Stewie is currently training for the INBA Naturals Body Building Show which is set to take place at the Durban High School on Saturday, 24 August. He will be participating in the over 40s category.  When Stewie was 16 he was determined to focus on his ‘skinny’ persona and hoped to improve his body image.   He soon began training in a friend’s garage and it was then when he discovered his love for bodybuilding. By Dylan Trimpe Finding time to go to the gym isn’t the hard part for competitive bodybuilder Stephen Holt. It’s the nutrition. The 2014 Seymour High School grad scoffs at the idea of not being able to find time to work out and that his desire to improve himself makes it easy to get through the daily grind of going to the gym. But ask him if he enjoys eating the same baked chicken breast with a side of broccoli and he’ll groan at the idea. “Most people think the gym part is the hard part,” Holt said. “It’s not. The diet is the hard part.” He even goes as far as to compare the intensity of eating his meals to his weight training. “If you want to be successful in this sport, you have to treat every time you stick a fork in a chicken breast like it’s your training,” he said. Holt’s work ethic earned him two top prizes at the Aug. 3 Indianapolis Championships in Novice Classic Physique and in the Open Classic categories. IFBB, WBF Bodybuilder David Dearth Dies At Age 56 – FitnessVolt.com

The bodybuilding world was rocked by some heartbreaking news this week. IFBB and WBF veteran David Dearth has passed away. Breaking:   Mariola Sabanovic-Suarez Female Physique competitor died Dearth reportedly died on Monday, August 5th, at the age of just 56. According to his social media, he had been in the hospital for surgery to remove some abscesses. However, things took a tragic turn as Dearth suffered a heart attack while in the hospital. This resulted in the terrible passing of the bodybuilder. This saddening news was broke to the public, with a heartfelt Facebook  post  from Jeff Petee, a friend of David Dearth. the Olympia. However, he moved to the WBF after that and competed there for the rest of his career. He was known around the bodybuilding world for his upbeat attitude. FitnessVolt offers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of David Dearth. This is a heart-wrenching loss in our community.

The 2019 Mr. Olympia is just over four weeks away, and we are finally starting to get a complete list of who will compete. This includes the names of those who will take part in the Men’s Open Division and all other divisions. This year’s Olympia is going to be an intense event. Even though ticket sales are less than ideal, the list of athletes taking part in this competition is deep. There will be a new Mr. Olympia Champion crowned this year , and now we have a list of who that might be. There are many ways for bodybuilders to qualify for the Mr. Olympia Men’s Open Bodybuilding, although this does not necessarily mean those who qualify will compete. However, any athlete that finished in the top 5 of last year’s event is automatically qualified. Additionally, if an athlete wins a show they are also qualified.
